As the second quarter of 2024 comes to a close, we've seen some interesting trends in the carpooling and ridesharing app domain on the Android platform. Sensor Tower has provided us with a comprehensive look at how these apps have been performing in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a fluctuating pattern in downloads, starting at nearly 1K in the first week of April and peaking at almost 2K by the end of June. Weekly active users experienced a steady increase, beginning with around 11K and climbing to over 12K in the same period.

For Uber - Request a ride, downloads showed a gradual rise from approximately 687 to 1.4K, indicating a growing interest in the app. The weekly active users mirrored this growth, starting at about 34K and reaching almost 38K by late June.

The Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver app displayed modest download numbers, hovering around the low hundreds, but ended the quarter with a spike to over 200 downloads. Active users showed a positive trend, with an initial count of approximately 1.5K and a rise to 1.75K, suggesting a steady demand for driving opportunities.

inDrive. Save on city rides downloads were relatively low, with figures staying under 100 for most of the quarter but ending on a higher note at 133. Weekly active users saw a slight dip in mid-quarter but recovered to surpass the initial count of around 450.

Lastly, Yango — different from a taxi maintained a consistent download range with a slight increase to 94 by quarter's end. Active users for Yango had minor fluctuations but concluded the quarter with a slight uptick in activity.
